* Will we be working and living ‘in-world’?
* How sustainable is this urban second life?
* In a world without borders, without time and space, where are the opportunities and where is danger?
* What kind of role do virtual worlds play for the preservation of culture?

Thanks for this comment, Nergiz. Following the conference's motto, one of the key questions is how 3D VW's correspond with/to real life with their city/culture installations/builds/reconstructions/replicas, etc. Is it an escape? I personally do not think so. However, one never knows... let's talk :)

That's cool.

But what I actually meant (but didn't say clearly) is that in the text above it sounds like SL were a separate world in which you can escape from the "Real World". Maybe it's just my interpretation of it. So, I'm curious what the presenters will say about the connection between the avatar and the person behind it or the virtual city and the physical one.

Anyway, enjoy it! :-)

Vienna is quite excited about this full-day event in SL and put us on the main screen in the plenary hall. The whole day.

I wanted to participate but have to work all day.

I'm curious how the panelists/presenters will make a connection to the physical world, whether it be the cities or the people behind the avatars.

Hi Pawel,
Thanks for pointing this out.
I changed the Virtual Harlem CET time because it was wrong and changed the Webadress to the only fixed adress which I have right now, the one of Adobe ConnectPro which we will use to do the streaming.
All SLURLs have to be fixed as of yet. However, I will publish them here and also at the main program page
Hope you can join.

Hi. Two things:
1. The slurl on top directs to the "Ahern Welcome Area". Is this the meeting point? ;)
2. Virtual Harlem. The zone times do not match. Should it be 6pm CET?
