The OpenSimulator Community Conference is an annual conference that focuses on the community around the OpenSimulator software. The conference features two days of presentations, workshops, keynote sessions, and social events across diverse sectors of the OpenSimulator user base, including six tracks:
Organized as a joint production by the Overte Foundation and AvaCon, Inc., the first annual conference will be hosted on an OpenSimulator grid specifically designed for the conference, and we anticipate including additional grid venues in the future.
The conference starts at 2pm GMT on Saturday and on Sunday. More than 70 guest speakers and 6 interesting tracks which are all livestreamed. This is the inaugural conference and some 35 volunteers are producing this amazingly complex event.
The conference is being sUtreamed from beginning to end....
Many educators left Second Life after Lindelab announced to cap the educational rate and they invested heavily in OpenSim technology, servers, building premises from scratch. At this conference we will hear first hand what has been developed and it is worth watching!
