QuickTime and viewing multimedia in SL

In the past week Gerhilde and Graham were trying to install a Sloodle Presenter tool in the Business Barn. Aside from problems with ownership (which I think are worked out now), I was completely unable to see any media (.mov or YouTube urls) on any viewer anywhere in SL. I had the lastest SL client and I had the lastest version of QuickTime (QT). The QT seemed to be the problem. (See https://blogs.secondlife.com/message/10465 ) The latest version of QT is more secure, but it does not work with SL at present. If you wish to view media in SL, then you must uninstall QT and then re-install QTLite292.exe This can be gotten at http://www.codecguide.com/qt_lite.htm
