This group brings together the members of the existing SL Experiments with teachers from the AVALON project to form a new partnership of teachers interested in working in Second Life and other virtual worlds. All are welcome.

Offre de formation aux techniques de FLE en univers virtuel 3d
Bonjour à tous,
Je recherche des professeurs de FLE expérimentés et étudiants en Master 2 de FLE intéressés par l'enseignement en environnement virtuel 3D. Cette formation pilote ne forme pas a l'enseignement du FLE à proprement dit mais aux techniques d'enseignement à distance par le biais de l'immersion en 3D.
Cette formation uniquement en français est découpée en 40 heures, 2 heures par session, 2 fois par semaine sur 10 semaines et débutera mi-juin 2012. Aucune expérience dans la 3D n'est nécessaire, vous apprendrez les fonctionalités principales de l'interface client de Second Life, Phoenix, Firestorm ou bien imprudence selon les capacités de votre PC.

Hi Kalyan, we are trying to bring together more systematically the SL Experiments group that has been around a long time in Second Life and interested teachers from the AVALON project to form a community of teachers interested in meeting and exchanging ideas abot language teaching in Second Life. We also want to try to bring in teachers from other fora, too, so that all the good practice that is floating around out there is moved around.
We have been meeting for a few months now, but we want to try to expand the community. We thought using the existing SL Experiments name inside the AVALON project Ning would be attractive for the exisiting SL Experiments Group and more neutral, but that we can then use the facilities of the Ning to advertise meetings and events and discuss topics. At tee same time, we still have access ot the SL Experimeents wiki (see above) for storage of materials, teaching plans etc.
Others might want to add to what I've said.
