What is your professional background?
I am head of LANCELOT School GmbH, a training center for language teachers in the use of virtual classroom technology. I am co-initiator of the AVALON project.

A brief introduction on our role in the project

In the AVALON project LANCELOT School is primarily involved in disseminating the project results. That is after the project has finished we make the course available and promote to Universities and commercialise it in the language learning world. This is our primary role.

In a secondary role we are WP3 (Action Research) coordinators and this is where Holly's contribution comes in her position as Director of Studies and she will assist organising the action research phase and giving a helping hand, trouble shooting and keeping the flow of communication going. She can also jump in to teach English if needed.

No fools, no horses at slanguages

What a high-profile conference with an excellent set of speakers the SLanguages conference proved to be. I truly learned a lot and am looking forward to sharing my learning highlights of this conference but also my frustration. Motion sickness in Second Life

Something amazing happened to me 2 days ago when I was preparing the event for the LEARNTEC with Moya.

I thought what a cool thing to do to show people at the LEARNTEC the island of Moya in Second Life. Moya who is a pop-artist in the real life has turned an island in Second Life into the most wonderful thing I have come across. A whole island full of art. I'll give you a copy of the holodeck which contains the three meeting rooms I've created. All you need is a 30 x 30 space to rezz them at will, and the few very simple instructions from me on how to make them appear and disappear, and what you can do with them.
