We're going through the ritual of pretending that tests are a good way of assessing our students' language learning progress again in my workplace. What other solutions are out there that are compatible with the learning outcomes of formal education? Is anyone using SL in imaginative ways for language assessment?

Great, I'll always have lunch in Breiner on Wednesdays and might be around Fridays too. Let's meet up next Wednesday then. Nope, now it's just us in SL and nay-saying turds like you who hang around forums.
